Description

The IMCO 6100 — known to collectors worldwide as "The Peanut" — is not merely a lighter. It is a surviving artifact of industrial design, unchanged in spirit since its Austrian origins.

Crafted from solid brass with a frosted matte finish, the 6100 measures just 50mm tall by 13mm wide — small enough to disappear into a coin pocket, substantial enough to feel like a deliberate object in the hand. It runs on standard lighter fluid (kerosene/gasoline), not disposable butane, connecting every ignition to the satisfying ritual of refill and flint replacement.

This is a lighter for people who understand that the best objects are the ones you keep. No plastic. No planned obsolescence. Just brass, a wick, a flint wheel, and a flame that has been lighting cigarettes, campfires, and quiet moments of reflection for over a century.

This is an officially licensed IMCO 6100 produced to the original design specifications. The craftsmanship and materials honor the Austrian heritage of the brand.

The Peanut lives up to its reputation

The IMCO 6100 is legendary in the EDC community and this one doesn't disappoint. Solid brass body, smooth operation, and the iconic peanut silhouette. I've been using it daily for two months — the flint is still going strong and the wick hasn't needed trimming. Refilling is a bit messy until you get the technique down, but that's part of the charm of a liquid-fuel lighter. Way more satisfying than disposable butane.

Perfect lightweight camping lighter

Bought this as a backup fire starter for backpacking trips. At 50mm it disappears into any pocket. The brass construction means no plastic to crack in cold weather. Wind resistance is decent for a non-torch lighter — you'll need to shield it in strong gusts but that's true of any wick lighter. Fuel capacity is small (frequent refills on multi-day trips), but that's the trade-off for the compact size.

Brass quality exceeded expectations at this price

I collect vintage lighters and the IMCO 6100 is a classic design. This reproduction is faithful — the brass has a nice weight, the frosted finish is uniform, and the flint wheel strikes cleanly on the first try. Filled it with standard Zippo fluid and it lights every time. The compact peanut shape is timeless. A proper EDC piece that starts conversations.
