Description

Every bundle looks identical under shop lighting. The difference shows after the first wash, when cuticle direction decides whether hair lies down flat or frizzes at the ends, and whether a long length still holds a wave in month six instead of month two. The Cascade is Brazilian Remy hair in a body wave, cut from a single donor direction, with the cuticle left intact and aligned root to tip. That alignment is the entire argument for Remy: it is the reason a 38 inch fall can be combed through with a wide tooth comb and still fall back into pattern without heat.

The wave itself is a loose S pattern, roughly two inches from crest to crest, which is the shape that survives humidity because it relies on the natural bend of the strand rather than a chemical set. Double drawn means the short hairs have been removed, so the bundle is dense at the top and stays dense at the bottom instead of tapering into a wisp. Each weft is machine sewn in a flat triple stitch, folded so the track sits close to the scalp, which matters when you are installing a full head and cannot afford bulk at the crown.

Lengths run from 12 to 40 inches and the sets are built in the ratios installers actually use: one bundle for a partial weave, three for a full head, four when you want volume at the ends on 32 inches and beyond. Colour is natural, unprocessed, and takes dye without the brass that comes from a previous colour lift. Because the hair has never been chemically straightened, heat styling is a choice rather than a correction, and the wave returns after a wash without coaxing.

Length is a number. How it behaves after eighteen months of washing is a reputation.

What you are actually buying

  • ✦ Brazilian Remy human hair with the cuticle intact and aligned in one direction, which is what prevents the matting that plagues non-Remy bundles.
  • ✦ Body wave pattern, roughly two inch S bend, that reforms after washing without heat or product.
  • ✦ Double drawn construction removes short hairs so the bundle stays full from weft to tip.
  • ✦ Flat triple stitched wefts, folded for a low profile track that will not bulge under a closure or frontal.
  • ✦ Natural unprocessed colour that lifts and tones evenly, with no pre-lightened brass underneath.
  • ✦ Sold as single bundles or in three and four bundle sets, in lengths from 12 to 40 inches.
  • ✦ Takes heat styling up to 180 degrees Celsius and returns to pattern on the next wash.

Where it belongs

This is a working bundle for stylists and for people who install at home and want the hair to last past a season. It suits a sewn in weave, a closure or frontal install, and a quick weave where the track needs to stay flat. Longer lengths from 32 to 40 inches are bought most often for event styling, where the density has to hold shape through a long day, and the three and four bundle sets are the practical choice for a full head rather than a partial install.

Questions buyers actually ask

Q: Is this hair actually Remy, or just labelled that way?

Remy refers to cuticle alignment, not to a brand or a country. Every bundle here is cut from a single direction with the cuticle intact, which is why it does not tangle at the nape the way stripped hair does. If a bundle has been acid bathed to remove cuticle, the ends will matt within weeks regardless of what the label says.

Q: Can I colour 38 inch bundles without losing the wave?

Yes, within limits. The hair is unprocessed, so it lifts predictably. Stay at or below a level 8 lift, use a bond builder in the mix, and avoid overlapping developer onto hair that has already been lifted. Going from natural black to platinum on a 38 inch bundle is the one job that will cost you the pattern.

Q: How many bundles do I need for a full head at 30 inches?

Three bundles for a standard full head, four if you want the ends to look full rather than tapered. At 38 to 40 inches most installers add a fourth bundle because the extra length thins the density at the bottom. If you are using a closure, three bundles plus a closure covers most head sizes.

Q: Will the weft shed after cutting?

Cut wefts shed, sealed wefts do not. The triple stitch is folded rather than cut on the edge, so it holds when you trim the track to fit. If you do cut across a weft, run a bead of weft sealant along the cut line before installing.

Q: How often should it be washed?

Once a week or every ten days with sulphate free shampoo, and always condition from the mid length down. Over washing strips the natural oils that keep the wave from drying out. Air dry on a stand, do not wring, and comb from the ends upward while damp.

Q: Does the wave drop after the first wash?

Slightly, and then it stabilises. The first wash relaxes the factory set by around ten percent, which is normal for unprocessed body wave. After that the pattern holds and reforms with water alone. If you want a tighter hold on day one, do not flat iron the bundle before installing.

Great hair, plan your colour carefully

Colour lifted evenly to a level 6 with no brass, which is rare on unprocessed hair at this length. My only note is the weight: at 38 inches the bundles are heavy, so if you have a sensitive scalp use fewer bundles or a lighter install method.

The 38 inch still holds pattern after six weeks

I have bought long bundles before that turned into a frizzy ponytail by week three. This one is still holding the S bend, and I only comb it damp with a wide tooth comb. The double drawn density is the difference, it does not thin out at the bottom.

Three bundles covered a full head at 30 inches

Installed three bundles plus a closure for a client with fine hair and it looked full from the crown down. The weft is flat, so the track sat close and the closure blended without a ridge. Two washes in and the wave came back on its own, no product needed.
