Description
The Dashboard Is the Last Analogue Stronghold. Everything else in a modern vehicle has been rewritten in software: the throttle, the gearbox map, the headlights, the door locks. The cluster stayed mechanical for years because drivers trusted needles. This cluster replaces the needles with a 12.3 inch IPS panel running at 1920 by 720, and it keeps every reading the factory unit provided, including the ones owners only notice after they have disappeared.
The installation philosophy is plug and play. The unit reads the original data stream, so mileage in miles or kilometres, fuel consumption, oil and water temperature, oil pressure and automatic body balance all carry across without dealer coding. Four display modes, from simple to track, and four theme colours let the same hardware suit a delivery van and a weekend car. Factory voltage range is 9V to 16V with an operating current of 0.8A to 1.5A and a standby draw under 3mA, so the cluster behaves like the part it replaces rather than like an accessory bolted on afterwards.
Fitment spans the VW and Skoda family that shares the platform: Transporter T6.1 from 2019 to 2023, Crafter from 2019 to 2022, Skoda Kodiaq, Octavia from 2008 to 2013 and 2014 to 2018, and Superb MK3 from 2014 to 2020. Each variant is built for a specific model and year band, which is why the option name matters more than the headline specification. Tell us the model, the year and the existing cluster part number before you order, and the right variant is easy to confirm.
Same car, same wiring, and a driver interface that finally belongs to this decade.

Who Orders This Cluster
Van converters order this cluster at the start of a build, because rewiring a dashboard later means taking the interior apart twice. Fleet operators fit it to Transporters whose original cluster has failed, since a replacement digital unit frequently costs less than a dealer supplied analogue part. Enthusiasts fit it to Octavia and Superb models where the factory display looks dated next to the rest of the interior. Independent workshops keep a small stock for customers who want the upgrade without the dealer invoice. Whatever the reason, the same rule applies: confirm the exact model, year and cluster part number, because the variants are not interchangeable between generations.
Fitment Questions
Q: Will the mileage be preserved?
A: Yes. The unit reads and displays the vehicle mileage already held by the car, in miles or kilometres as configured, and the factory data streams for fuel, temperatures and pressures continue to be shown.
Q: Does it need coding?
A: On the supported models listed in the fitment record, installation is plug and play with no dealer coding. If your vehicle is a variant we do not list, ask before ordering, since some builds require additional configuration.
Q: How do I know which variant fits my car?
A: Match the model and the production year band in the variant name, then send us the vehicle identification number or a photo of the existing cluster. We confirm the correct variant before shipment.
Q: Will the steering wheel controls still work?
A: The cluster reads the vehicle bus rather than replacing it, so factory controls and warning systems continue to operate normally on supported vehicles.
Q: Can it be installed by a workshop?
A: Yes, and for many buyers that is the sensible route. The unit is a physical swap and is not a soldering job, but interior trim has to come off, so budget for a few hours of labour.
