Description
A ceiling light is judged twice. Once when it is switched on, and every other hour of the day when it is not. Most fixtures solve the first problem and lose the second, which is why so many rooms end up lit by a flat plastic disc that is doing nothing for the ceiling above it. This one is built as a layered acrylic form over an ironware frame, so the fixture reads as a deliberate object in daylight and as a soft, even wash of light after dark.
The arrangement is two distinct shapes. Type A is a single sculpted panel in black or white for corridors, small bedrooms and anywhere that wants one clear gesture. Type B opens into three or six illuminated heads, which is the version for a living room or a dining table where a single source would leave the corners dark. Both are surface mounted and arrive with the LED sources included, wired through a 90 to 260V AC driver that works on any domestic supply without a transformer.
The light you notice is the one you design around. The light you never notice is the one you got right.

Choosing Between the Two Shapes
Type A earns its place in rooms with one obvious centre. A hallway, a small bedroom, a study or a bathroom where the fixture is doing general illumination rather than a lighting design. Because the panel is a single sculpted form, it also works over a staircase or in a two-storey void where a multi-head fixture would look busy.
Type B is the one to choose when the room has zones. Six heads across a living room will light the seating and the wall behind it at the same time, which is the difference between a room that is bright and a room that is comfortable. Three heads suits a dining table of four to six settings or a bedroom where you want the light pulled inwards instead of thrown at the walls.
In either shape the dimming is the part that matters most after dark. Being able to drop the output for dinner and raise it for cleaning means you are not choosing between a fixture that is too bright and one that is too dim, and because the remote runs the dimmer, you are not paying an electrician to install a wall control.
Questions Before You Fit It
Q: Are the LED bulbs included?
Yes. The light sources are built into the fixture and included, so there is no separate lamp purchase and no bulb matching to get wrong.
Q: Does it need a wall dimmer switch?
No. Dimming is handled by the supplied remote control, which means it works on an existing standard switch circuit without any rewiring.
Q: Will it work on 110V US power?
Yes. The driver accepts 90 to 260V AC, so the same fixture runs on US, UK and EU supplies without a voltage converter.
Q: Is the acrylic going to yellow over time?
The panels are a layered acrylic composite rather than a soft plastic diffuser, and the finish is polished. Keep it away from direct heat sources and wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth, not solvent cleaners.
Q: How much area will one fixture cover?
Between 5 and 10 square metres, depending on ceiling height and the shape chosen. For an open-plan space above 10 square metres, plan on two fixtures or choose the six-head Type B.
Q: Is it hard to install?
It is a surface-mounted fixture with a self-contained driver, so it fits to a standard ceiling box and connects like any ceiling light. If you are not confident with mains wiring, use an electrician; the fixture itself requires no assembly beyond the bracket.
Q: How many heads should I order for a dining room?
Three heads is usually right for a table of four to six. If the table seats eight or the ceiling is above 2.8 metres, take the six-head version so the ends of the table are not left in shadow.
