Description

A balloon arch is the cheapest way to change how a room feels. Before the cake, before the guests, before the photographs, there is a shape above the doorway that tells everyone this is not an ordinary afternoon. It is also the decoration most likely to fail, because a garland built from balloons alone sags by the second hour.

This kit is built around the strip. A plastic garland tape runs the length of the arch, and every balloon is threaded through it at the spacing the design requires. The result holds its line instead of collapsing, and it takes about forty minutes to assemble rather than the two hours a hand-tied garland demands. Matte latex in graduated pinks does the volume work, with confetti balloons and butterfly accents placed at intervals to give the arch texture at eye level.

One hundred and thirty-six pieces covers a doorway arch or a two-metre garland with enough spare balloons for the inevitable split during inflation. Sizes run from five to eighteen inches, which is the range that produces the layered, uneven silhouette professional decorators use; uniform balloons always read as a party shop display rather than a celebration.

Decorating is not about more. It is about the right shape in the right place.

Where It Belongs

Designed for the person organising the party rather than for a professional decorator with a helium cylinder. It suits birthdays, baby showers, gender reveals, engagement parties and wedding photo corners, all of which need a focal point that photographs well without a full venue installation. Because the kit is air-filled, it can be assembled the night before and attached to a wall or doorway with tape or command hooks. Event planners order two or three kits to build a longer run down a stair rail or along a dessert table.

Questions Buyers Ask

Q: Does it need helium?

A: No. Garland arches are air-filled and threaded onto the strip, which is what allows the dense, held shape. Helium balloons would float away from the garland within hours.

Q: How long does it take to assemble?

A: Around forty minutes for two people, including inflation. Inflate balloons in size batches first, then thread them largest to smallest.

Q: How long will it last?

A: Latex balloons held indoors at normal room temperature stay inflated for two to three days. Outdoors in heat or direct sun, expect a single day.

Q: Does it hold without a frame?

A: The garland strip keeps the arch rigid enough to hang from a wall or doorway. For a freestanding arch across an open floor, add a balloon arch stand or tie the ends to furniture.

Q: Will the confetti balloons look messy?

A: Confetti is inside the balloon and settles across the surface when rubbed. Place them at the outer edge of the arch where they catch light.

Q: Is the latex safe for children?

A: Uninflated balloons are a choking hazard and should be kept away from children under eight. Pop and clear all balloons after the event.

Q: Can I use only part of the kit?

A: Yes. Sixty pieces makes a shorter swag over a cake table; the remainder keeps for a second event if stored flat and away from heat.

Q: What should I use to attach it to the wall?

A: Command hooks or clear tape on a clean painted surface hold an air-filled garland without marking. Avoid attaching to wallpaper or fresh paint, and support the arch at two or three points rather than one.

Q: Is the strip included for both a garland and an arch?

A: The kit contains one garland strip, which is enough for a doorway arch or a two-metre run. Two kits joined end to end build a longer arch across a wider opening.

Plenty spare, read the sizing

One balloon split while inflating and there were enough spares in the box that it did not matter. Inflate in size batches before you start threading or it takes much longer.

Photographs beautifully

The mixed sizes give it the layered look you see from decorators rather than a uniform ring of balloons. Confetti balloons at the edge caught the light in every photo.

Held its shape through the whole party

Assembled it the night before and it was still standing at the end of the day. The strip is what makes it work, the balloons stay exactly where you thread them.
