Descrizione

A suitcase does not wrinkle clothes. Compression does, and hangers are the thing you never pack.

Everyone knows the trick of rolling a shirt, and everyone has arrived with a rolled shirt that came out creased across the shoulders. The shoulders are what a hanger protects, and a rigid hanger is the one item that will not fit in a bag designed to be carried onto a plane. So it stays home, and the shirt pays for it.

These are inflatable hangers that pack flat and become full-shouldered hangers when filled from the mouth valve. The rounded, contoured shoulder is the design detail that matters: it supports the garment along the seam line rather than creasing it at a point, and it holds shape in a wardrobe where a wire hanger would leave two permanent peaks. Five to a pack covers a week of shirts, and because they deflate they store in a pocket of a wash bag between trips.

The honest assessment: these are not a replacement for a structured wooden hanger in a permanent wardrobe, and the PVC will not last a decade. They solve one specific problem, which is keeping a small number of garments presentable while travelling light, and they solve it for the price of a coffee. If your itinerary includes a meeting on arrival, that is a fair trade.

Pack the shape, not the hanger, and the shirt arrives as it left.

Why It Earns Its Place

  • ✦ Five per pack — Enough for a week of shirts, or a couple of jackets and trousers.
  • ✦ Inflates from a mouth valve — Becomes a full-shouldered hanger in seconds and deflates just as fast.
  • ✦ Contoured shoulders — Supports the garment along the seam instead of creasing it at a single point.
  • ✦ Packs flat — Deflated, the set stores in a wash bag or laptop sleeve pocket.
  • ✦ Rotatable hook — Hangs in either direction, which matters in hotel wardrobes with a single rail.
  • ✦ Waterproof PVC — Wipes clean and does not absorb damp from a bathroom.
  • ✦ Holds a garment without marks — No wire peaks, so no shoulder creases on arrival.

Where It Belongs

Business travellers who take one jacket and two shirts and need them presentable on arrival, which is the case these were designed around. It suits cruise passengers with limited cabin wardrobe space, students moving between rented rooms with no fitted wardrobe, and guest rooms where a spare hanger is always missing when visitors arrive. Campers and van travellers use them because they weigh nothing and fold into a corner, and market traders hang sample garments from them at a stall where a rigid hanger would be bulky to transport.

Questions, Answered

Q: How much weight will one hold?

A: A shirt, blouse, light jacket or pair of trousers. It is an inflatable, so treat it as a garment support rather than a load-bearing hook; a heavy coat will compress the shoulders it is meant to protect.

Q: Do they deflate overnight?

A: A well-sealed valve holds for weeks. If a hanger softens within a day, the valve cap is not seated fully, which is the usual cause rather than a leak in the body.

Q: Will the plastic mark my clothes?

A: No. The surface is smooth PVC and the shoulder is rounded, so there is no point contact to leave a crease or a mark on light fabrics.

Q: Can I use them at home instead of travelling?

A: You can, and some buyers keep a set for guest rooms. For a permanent wardrobe a rigid hanger is the better tool, because it holds shape without depending on air pressure.

Q: How many do I need for a week away?

A: Five covers a working week of shirts with a spare. If you travel with a jacket as well, take the full set and use one for the jacket and four for shirts.

Good for a guest room

Kept a set inflated for visitors and they have held air for weeks. Waterproof surface wipes clean and the rounded shoulders do not leave marks on light fabrics.

Does one job, does it well

Light garments only, as stated. Hung a heavy coat on one and it sagged, which is fair enough for an inflatable. For shirts and blouses they are perfect and weigh nothing.

Took a jacket and four shirts for a week

Packed flat in a wash bag and inflated in the hotel room in seconds. My shirt came out of the suitcase with the shoulders intact instead of creased. The hook rotates which helped in a narrow wardrobe.
