Flat Is Not a Natural State. Wood arrives from the mill cupped, metal arrives from the shear burred, and every joint you cut afterwards inherits those errors. A belt and disc combination machine exists to remove them before they travel any further down the build. One machine, two working surfaces: a belt for length and face work, a disc for squaring ends and cleaning contours.

The specification starts with the motor, because a sander without torque burns the material instead of cutting it. The induction motors in the range draw 5.0, 4.3 or 2.5 amps, and induction design means the power holds up under load rather than fading after a minute of pressure. The cast aluminium worktable tilts through a range of zero to forty five degrees for angled work, and the belt assembly adjusts through zero to ninety degrees, so the same machine handles a square end and a compound bevel without a second tool.

Materials decide how far you can push it. Hard woods, plywood and artificial board are the main diet, and soft metals such as aluminium and copper are within scope as long as the belt is suited to them and you keep the pressure light. The machine is corded electric with a standard supply, needs no battery, and its combination layout means one footprint on the bench covers deburring, grinding, edge cleaning, contouring and flattening. For a shop that cuts its own stock, that is where the accuracy of every joint downstream is decided.

Square the stock first and every joint after it fits.

What the Machine Does

Where It Earns Its Floor Space

Cabinet shops use the disc for squaring the ends of stiles and rails before assembly, and the belt for flattening a glued panel whose seam has stood proud. Furniture restorers use it to clean up joints that previous owners filled with whatever was to hand. Metalwork and fabrication shops keep one for deburring cut aluminium and copper before welding or joining. Model makers and hobby builders use the tilting table for bevels that would otherwise be filed by eye. In every case the value is the same: a machine that establishes a flat reference early, so that measuring, joining and finishing later all get easier rather than harder. Choose the motor option that matches how hard you intend to push it, not the one that costs least.

Workshop Questions

Q: Which motor option should I choose?

A: The 2.5 amp machine suits light work on softwoods and small parts. The 4.3 amp option covers general cabinet and furniture work. The 5.0 amp option is for hardwood, frequent use and shops that push the belt rather than tickle it.

Q: Can it grind metal?

A: It handles soft metals such as aluminium and copper with an appropriate belt and light pressure. It is not a replacement for a dedicated bench grinder on steel, so judge the task accordingly.

Q: Does the table tilt?

A: Yes. The cast aluminium worktable tilts from zero to forty five degrees, and the belt assembly adjusts from zero to ninety degrees, which between them cover angle work and edge sanding on one machine.

Q: How much space does it need?

A: Because it is a combination machine, it replaces two separate units on the bench. Allow clearance front and back for long stock on the belt side, and access to the disc for end grain work.

Q: Is the motor single phase?

A: It runs on a standard corded supply for the market variant you select. Tell us your supply voltage and country and we will confirm the correct variant before shipment.

Q: What about consumables?

A: Belts and discs are standard industry sizes available from any abrasives supplier. Message us if you would like us to quote a starter set of belts and discs with the machine.

The EastSupplier Promise

Every unit in this listing is inspected and packed by our own cross-border team in China before it leaves the warehouse. We hold the stock, we handle the export paperwork, and we answer technical questions directly rather than routing you through a marketplace resolution desk.

Needs a solid bench

Solid machine for the price and the induction motor is noticeably smoother than the brush motors I have used. It does vibrate if bolted to a light bench, so mount it properly before judging the finish.

Belt adjustment covers everything

Set the belt at 90 degrees for edge work and back to horizontal for flattening a glued panel. Induction motor keeps torque where a cheaper sander bogs down. Deburring aluminium parts afterwards is quick.

Squares rail ends without a second machine

The disc squares stile and rail ends ready for assembly and the 5 amp motor does not slow down even on hardwood. Tilt table is cast aluminium and it holds angle without creeping during a long run of cuts.
