Works great on my gas fireplace insert

Wasn't sure if this would work on a gas fireplace but the top surface gets hot enough to spin the fan at a decent speed. It does help circulate warm air into the room rather than letting it all rise. Giving 4 stars because on gas the airflow is a bit less than what wood stove users report, but that is just gas running cooler than wood — not the fan's fault.
