Descrizione
Your wheels turn more than any other part of the bicycle. Everything else on the bike moves occasionally; the hubs move constantly, thousands of revolutions per hour, in whatever weather the ride began in. It follows that the bearing inside the hub is the part where a small decision becomes a large one.
The 6802-2RS is a 15 x 24 x 5mm hub bearing with ceramic balls running in bearing steel races, sealed on both sides. Ceramic balls are lighter than steel balls of the same size, which reduces the centrifugal load they place on the race at speed, and they run cooler because there is less mass to move and less friction to generate heat. The steel races keep the cost of the assembly in the range where replacing a pair of hub bearings stays a normal service item rather than a project.
This is a single piece, and that is deliberate. Hubs differ: a front hub carries radial load, a rear hub carries radial load plus drive torque, and the two sides of a hub are not always the same bearing. Selling one at a time means you buy what the frame actually needs instead of a fixed lot that leaves you with pieces that fit nothing. ABEC-3 tolerance, 2RS seals, 15 x 24 x 5mm, RoHS compliant, ready for a standard hub service.
The hub is where the whole ride is decided, five millimetres at a time.
What The Specification Delivers
- ✦ Ceramic balls in bearing steel races: lighter rotating mass, lower running temperature
- ✦ 2RS double sealing against water, grit, and road spray
- ✦ ABEC-3 tolerance suited to hub service rather than instrument duty
- ✦ Standard 6802 envelope at 15 x 24 x 5mm for wide hub compatibility
- ✦ Sold as a single piece, because front and rear hubs do not share bearing loads
- ✦ Bearing steel races that hold their geometry through repeated service
- ✦ RoHS compliant construction
- ✦ Drop-in replacement for hub and wheel service work

Where It Belongs
Wheel builders use the 6802 as a service part when a client's hub develops play or roughness that cannot be adjusted out. Road riders replace at the first sign of drag, because a hub bearing that resists rotation is a permanent tax on every pedal stroke. Shops stock singles rather than sets because the size fits a broad spread of hubs, and the demand arrives one wheel at a time.
Buyer Questions
Is this one bearing or a pair?
One piece. Front and rear hubs frequently use different bearing sizes and loads, so a single unit lets you buy exactly what the hub needs.
What is the advantage of ceramic balls?
Lower mass and lower friction. They run cooler at speed and reduce the centrifugal load on the races, which matters on a part that turns continuously.
Can I fit this myself?
It is a press fit. A bearing press and the correct drifts make it a fifteen minute job; a hammer makes it a new hub. Press on the outer race going in, and on the inner race coming out.
Will it fit my hub?
If your hub takes a 6802 bearing at 15 x 24 x 5mm, it fits. Measure the old bearing before ordering, since some hubs use a 6902 or a 6803 in the same location.
Do these need special grease?
They ship pre-greased and sealed. They are intended as sealed units to be replaced, not regreased.
Are ceramic bearings fragile?
The balls are hard and dimensionally stable, and inside a sealed steel race they are protected from impact. The handling risk is during installation, not during riding.

The EastSupplier Promise
We buy the way a workshop buys: one supplier, one standard, no surprises at the port. Every listing is inspected before it is packed, documented in English, and shipped with a real person on the other end of the message.
