Before you cut a key, prove that the car can hear it. Immobiliser work has a particular way of punishing optimism. The key blank is cut, the transponder is written, the customer is standing at the counter - and only then does it become clear that the dashboard will not accept the chip, or that the instrument cluster has stopped talking altogether. The GODIAG GT112 exists so that this conversation never happens. It turns an unmounted dashboard into a bench-testable platform before any irreversible work begins.
In use the cable converts an offline instrument cluster to a standard OBD2 diagnostic socket, which means a cluster pulled from the vehicle can be interrogated on the bench with the same tool you would use in the car. It performs offline key and immobiliser synchronisation testing, reads and writes instrument IMMO data, supports mileage repair work on the cluster, and provides an independent ignition switch so the bench rig behaves like a live vehicle. The key induction adapter carries its own indicator light, which turns an invisible radio exchange into something you can actually watch. It works alongside HEX V2, VAS 6154, SUPER VAG K+CAN, Obdstar, Lonsdor, AVDI, ZEDFULL, VVDI2, Key Tool Plus, X300 DP Plus and Autel platforms, so it slots into the bench you already own rather than demanding a new one.
The induction detection function is the part most technicians underuse. Press the vehicle start switch, bring the key identifier close to a candidate area, and watch the indicator: a brief flash that then goes out means the chip and the immobiliser are healthy; a long sustained flash means the chip key and the vehicle IMMO system do not match and the key needs re-matching; no flash at all means the vehicle immobiliser circuit itself is suspect and should be inspected before you spend another minute on the key. That single LED replaces a great deal of guesswork, and it replaces it before the customer is waiting.
Bench work is not slower. It is the only way to be certain.

Application Scenarios
Built for the locksmith bench and the independent diagnostic workshop. When a VW group cluster arrives from a salvage yard or arrives dead from a vehicle, the GT112 lets the technician confirm communication, extract and write IMMO data, repair mileage and verify key synchronisation away from the car. Mobile auto-electricians carry it to establish whether a no-start condition is a key problem or a vehicle problem before quoting. Second-hand parts dealers use it to validate clusters before resale, and training workshops use it to demonstrate immobiliser operation to apprentices without tying up a customer vehicle.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Which vehicles does this cable cover?
It is built for Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat dashboards from the second and third generations. The induction test function also works on other VAG-platform vehicles where the emergency start area needs to be located.
Q: Does it work with the diagnostic tool I already own?
Yes, provided your tool supports K-Line immobiliser functions on VAG vehicles. It is used with HEX V2, VAS 6154, SUPER VAG K+CAN, Obdstar, Lonsdor, AVDI, ZEDFULL, VVDI2, Key Tool Plus, X300 DP Plus and Autel platforms.
Q: What do the indicator light patterns mean?
A short flash that then goes out means the chip and IMMO system are healthy. A long sustained flash means the chip key does not match the vehicle and needs re-matching. No light at all points to a fault in the vehicle immobiliser system itself.
Q: Can it repair mileage on the instrument cluster?
Offline cluster mileage repair is one of the supported functions, performing alongside the IMMO read and write operations rather than as a separate tool.
Q: Does it need its own power supply or battery?
No. The cable is powered from the test platform and connects to the dashboard independently, which is why it can operate with the cluster completely removed from the vehicle.
Q: Is this a stand-alone programmer?
No. The GT112 is a test platform and interface cable. It prepares and connects the dashboard so that your existing key programming and diagnostic toolkit can do its work.
