With a single NIC you have a desktop; with two, you have a router, a firewall, a VPN gateway, a network tap or a branch office node. The Twin Lan is built around that second port, combining an Intel Core i7-10510U (or 8550U, or i3-8145U) with a Realtek RTL8168/8111H controller and a separate Intel I219-LM controller, so the two interfaces do not share a single chip's queue.

The enclosure is 150 by 136.5 by 50.5 millimetres of aluminium alloy with an active fan, which is the honest trade-off for a 15W-class Whiskey Lake processor: sustained clocks instead of a passively cooled ceiling. Dual-channel DDR4 at 2400 or 2666MHz spreads memory traffic across two SODIMM slots, and an M.2 NVMe drive keeps boot and package installation fast enough that rebuilding a virtualisation host stops being an afternoon.

Output is HDMI plus DisplayPort, both live at once, and the unit ships as a bare-metal candidate for Windows 10 Pro or a Linux distribution of your choosing. For system integrators and IT teams the appeal is mundane and durable: a machine small enough to mount behind a screen or sit on a DIN shelf, with enough processor headroom to run routing, DNS, monitoring and a management plane without a rack unit's power draw.

One box, two networks, no rack.

Hardware Highlights

✦ 10th-generation Intel Core i7-10510U (up to 4.9GHz) or 8th-gen i7-8550U / i3-8145U alternatives

✦ Dual Gigabit Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168/8111H plus Intel I219-LM on separate controllers

✦ Dual-channel DDR4 SODIMM memory at 2400/2666MHz

✦ M.2 NVMe storage for fast provisioning and rebuild cycles

✦ HDMI and DisplayPort output, usable simultaneously

✦ Aluminium alloy chassis measuring 150 x 136.5 x 50.5mm

✦ CE and RoHS certified, supplied with an active cooling fan for sustained clocks

Specification Ledger

Processor options: Intel Core i7-10510U (up to 4.9GHz), i7-8550U, i3-8145U

Memory: 2 x DDR4 SODIMM, dual channel, 2400/2666MHz

Storage: M.2 NVMe SSD

Network: 2 x Gigabit LAN - Realtek RTL8168/8111H + Intel I219-LM

Video output: 1 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort

Chassis: Aluminium alloy, 150 x 136.5 x 50.5mm

Cooling: Active fan

Operating system: Windows 10 Pro or Linux

Certification: CE, RoHS

Configuration matrix: 8GB/512GB through 32GB/1TB

Deployment Scenarios

MSPs standardise on it as a managed endpoint with a second interface for out-of-band access. Home labs run pfSense or OPNsense on it without buying a purpose-built appliance. Warehouses mount it behind a monitor for dispatch software and keep the second port for a segregated VLAN. For an endpoint or gateway that runs 24/7, that difference shows up in both electricity and heat, and it means the unit can sit inside a closed cabinet without needing a dedicated exhaust path.

Q: Can the M.2 drive be replaced?

Yes.
