the-hollow-choir-180cm-animatronic-talking-witch
The Hollow Choir | 180 cm Animatronic Talking Witch with Moving Mouth

A prop either sits on a porch or it stands on one, and the difference is entirely in whether it moves. This witch is 180 centimetres of natural latex and fill, moulded to human proportion and dressed in purple, so that from the pavement it reads as a figure rather than a decoration. Then it speaks, and the mouth moves with the volume of the sound rather than on a loop, which is the detail that turns a costume into a resident.

The mechanism is voice-driven. Sound near the figure wakes the animation, the head turns, the mouth opens and closes in step with the audio, and the assembled result at 180 cm is tall enough that the head sits above the eyeline of most adults walking up a path. Battery power comes from three AAA cells held in the body, which keeps the figure free of a cable and means it can be placed at the far end of a drive, on a balcony or on a porch step that no extension lead will ever reach.

What it is not is a year-round ornament. Natural latex and textile fill belong indoors or on a covered, sheltered porch, kept away from standing water and prolonged direct rain, and the batteries are deliberately not included so the cells are fresh on the night they are needed. The rest is honest: one figure, purple, 180 cm, ready to be hung or stood, with the animation triggered by the sound around it.

A figure that moves when you speak to it stops being an object on a porch and becomes the reason the porch is remembered.

What Sets It Apart

✦ Life-size 180 cm figure with human proportions, moulded in natural latex with fill

✦ Voice-activating animation: the head and mouth move in step with sound near the figure

✦ Illuminated face and glowing presentation for evening and after-dark display

✦ Deep purple finish and textile costume that reads clearly from the pavement

✦ Runs on three AAA batteries, so no cable or outdoor socket is required

✦ Free-standing or hangable, for a porch, balcony, hallway or party room

✦ Ships as a single assembled-look figure; batteries are not included

Technical Specifications

Height: 180 cm / 70.2 in

Material: Natural latex with textile fill and costume

Colour: Purple

Animation: Voice-triggered; head and mouth move with the sound level

Illumination: Light-up face for evening display

Power: 3 x AAA batteries (not included)

Placement: Indoor or sheltered outdoor use

Theme: Halloween, horror parties, haunted house sets

Package Contents: 1 x animated witch figure

Assembly: Body and costume arrive ready to position

Where It Belongs

The obvious deployment is a front porch on the night of the 31st, where the figure stands at the edge of the lit zone with the sound of arriving visitors triggering the mouth and head movement just as they step onto the path. It works equally well inside a hallway at the end of a corridor, where the size reads as a figure standing in the dark until someone speaks. Party hosts use it as the centrepiece of a themed room, organisers of haunted-house sets use it as one of the figures along a route, and shop or bar frontages use it as a seasonal window piece for the two weeks before Halloween. Because it runs on three AAA cells rather than mains power, it can be moved between all of those positions without an extension lead or a decision about where the cable goes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the animation trigger?

A: Sound near the figure starts the movement: the head turns and the mouth opens and closes in time with the audio level it picks up.
