the-silk-threshold-white-backdrop-drape
The Silk Threshold | White Silk Backdrop Drape with Tie Top and Rod Channel

Every photograph taken indoors is really a photograph of whatever stands behind the subject. A bare wall reads as a meeting room. A draped panel of white silk reads as a ceremony. The Silk Threshold is the second option in a single folded parcel, and it hangs from either a rod or a set of ties, which means it fits the frame you already have instead of demanding a new one.

The fabric is a high quality silk with a soft hand and enough weight to fall in folds rather than billow. Wrinkle resistance matters here, because a backdrop is usually unpacked an hour before guests arrive and nobody has time to press twenty metres of cloth. Reinforcement sits along the top edge with ties and a rod channel, so there are two ways to suspend it, and the panel was designed to be washed by hand or in a machine at 30 degrees, which is what keeps white looking white after a season of use.

Two sizes cover most rooms. The 3m panel suits a photo corner, a dessert table or a small ceremony arch, and the 6m panel spans a stage, a long buffet or the full width of a reception hall. Folded, the drape packs to roughly 48 by 34 by 8 centimetres at about 0.95 kilograms, so it travels in a suitcase or a car boot without a dedicated flight case.

The room was always going to be in the picture.
