Description
A Clean Room Can Be Folded. The reason most respray work fails is not the gun and not the paint. It is the airborne dust that settles into the wet film while it is still open, and the overspray that drifts onto whatever else is standing in the workshop. The answer used to be a permanent booth with a concrete floor and a building permit. This booth takes the opposite route: it arrives in a bag, inflates in minutes, filters the air that enters it, and deflates again when the job is done.
The structure is built from Oxford cloth with transparent panels and replaceable filter cotton, held rigid by its own internal pressure rather than by a frame. Blowers do double duty, keeping the envelope inflated and pushing the interior air through the filter so that dust is carried out instead of settling on the panel you are about to clear coat. Sizes run from a 10 ft booth for panels and small work up to a 33 ft enclosure that swallows a full size vehicle with the doors open, and each size ships with the blower or blower pair that suits its volume.
Rigid, tough, and quickly dismantled. The floor sheet protects the surface underneath, the zipped door lets you walk in and out without collapsing the envelope, and the transparent roof sections keep daylight coming through so you can see the colour you are laying down. Weight scales with size: from around 13.4 kg for the compact booth up to 74 kg for the largest, and every model folds back into a storage bag that fits a van or a corner of the unit rather than consuming a bay permanently.
Control the air and the finish takes care of itself.
How the Envelope Works
- ✦Inflates in minutes from a storage bag, no frame and no permanent installation
- ✦Oxford cloth shell with transparent panels and replaceable filter cotton
- ✦Blower or blower pair sized to the enclosure volume keeps the booth pressurised and filtered
- ✦Enclosure sizes from 10 ft x 8.5 ft x 8.5 ft up to 33 ft x 21 ft x 15 ft
- ✦Zipped entry and protected floor sheet for walk in access without deflating
- ✦Deflates and packs down for storage or transport between sites
- ✦Blower output ranges from 750W on compact sizes to combined 1100W plus 750W on the largest

Where It Gets Inflated
Body shops buy it for the overflow job that will not fit the fixed booth, and for the mobile painter who has to work in somebody else's building. Restoration workshops use the compact sizes to keep dust off bare metal between operations. Industrial painters use the tall enclosures for machinery and agricultural equipment because the envelope can be raised over a chassis that will never fit through a conventional door. Detailers also use a small booth as an air filtered area for ceramic coating, where a single dust landing means redoing the panel. Choose the size that lets you walk around the workpiece with the gun at a comfortable distance, because a booth that is too tight costs more in rework than it saves.
Buyer Questions
Q: How do I choose the right size?
A: Measure the longest vehicle you expect to spray and allow at least one metre of clearance on each side and above the roof. A 10 ft booth covers panels and small parts, the 13 ft and 26 ft sizes cover cars through to long wheelbase vans, and the 33 ft enclosure is for full size vehicles and machinery.
Q: Does it need a permanent power supply?
A: It needs the blower running for as long as the booth is inflated. A standard workshop outlet is enough, and the blower power for each size is listed in the specification table so you can check your circuit before ordering.
Q: Will the blower keep the air inside clean?
A: The blowers maintain pressure and move interior air through the replaceable filter cotton, which catches overspray and dust on the way through. Change the filter when it visibly loads up, exactly as you would in a fixed booth.
Q: Can it be used outdoors?
A: It can be set up outdoors in calm conditions. Wind loading is the limiting factor rather than the fabric, so pick a sheltered position and secure the structure if you are working outside.
Q: Is a floor sheet supplied?
A: Yes. The floor sheet protects the surface beneath and makes clean up faster, since overspray lands on the sheet rather than on your slab.
Q: How long does setup take?
A: With the blower connected, the envelope inflates in minutes. Draining and folding takes a little longer, and the whole unit returns to its storage bag.
